Example:

F= 9/5 x 100 + 32 = 180 + 32 = 212

If you need to convert Celsius quickly to Fahrenheit, here is a simple trick: multiply the temperature in degrees Celsius by two and then add 30 to get the (estimated) temperature in degrees Fahrenheit.

For example, if you’re in Canada and the weather radio says it’s 20 degrees before you put on gloves and a heavy coat, we can say 2×20+30 =~70F.

F= 9/5 x 20 + 32 = 68

Two degrees F error is close enough for deciding how to dress. So, rather than the heavy coat, no coat at all!

What is the formula to convert degrees from Fahrenheit to Celsius?

They are two different scales, and there is a linear relationship between the two scales. If I plot the temperature in C and F, they fall in a straight line. A formula is nothing but an equation for a straight line.

  • Water boils at 100 C on the Celsius scale and 212 on the Fahrenheit scale.
  • Similarly, if you observe the freezing point, it is 0 C and 32 F.

The formula to convert degrees from Fahrenheit to Celsius is

F = (9/5)*C + 32

Conclusion:
