What is Decoding:

Substitution Coding
Example:
In certain code language “786” means “bring me apple, “958” means “Peel green apple”, and “645” means “bring green fruit”. Which of the following is the code for “me”.?
A. 6
B. 7
C. 8
D. 5
Given input data is;
= 786 = bring me apple
= 958 = peel green apple
= 645 = bring green fruit
8 = apple
5 = green
6 = bring
7 = me
Mixed number Coding
Example:
Directions: In a certain code language
- ‘pit dar na’ means ‘your are good’
- ‘dar tok pa’ means ‘good and bad’
- ‘tim na tok’ means ‘they are bad’
In that language, which word stands for ‘they’?
A. na
B. tok
C. tim
D. pit
- ‘pit dar na’ == ‘your are good’
- ‘dar tok pa’ == ‘good and bad’
- ‘tim na tok’ == ‘they are bad’
After removing common words along codes, then “They” = “tim” will come out.
