Born on September 5, 1888, Sir Radhakrishnan was a man of high honors and values. He pursued his education in philosophy. Moreover, Sir Radhakrishnan served the country as the first Vice President of India from 1952 to 1962 and the second President of India from 1962 to 1967. In addition, he also received India’s highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna, in 1954. Sixteen times, he was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature and 11 times for the Nobel Peace Prize.
