Scholarship Scheme Examination for National Economically Weaker Students (NMMS);
Selection Process –
1. Scholarship Quota for State of Maharashtra for NMMS Exam.
2. Students in the respective category are selected as per the reservation of the State of Maharashtra.
3. Also 3% reservation for the disabled is included in the relevant category.
4. Separately for all districts. 7th and so on. The district wise quota has been fixed on the basis of the number of 8th standard students and the number in the age group of 12 to 14 years.
5. The quota for each district is fixed as under.

1. Eligible students in the General category are selected by first grade. 40% marks are required for passing.
2. 32% marks are required for the remaining 8 categories as well as for all students with disabilities.
3. After that, the students who get merit marks are included in the list of students in those (8) special categories.
4. The number of students in the general list of that category is not taken into consideration while listing in the special category.
5. A total of 3% reservation is given for each of the nine categories of persons with disabilities. 1% reservation is given separately for each category of Orthopedic Disable, Hearing Disable, Visually Disable / Blind.
6. When determining the reservation for the disabled, the first available number of students in that category is considered. In case of non-fulfillment of 3% reservation, instead of the required last number in the merit list, disability reservation opportunity is given on merit.
7. All categories are given equal opportunity to Orthopedics, Deaf, and Visually Impaired / Blind. In case the required number of students from all the categories is not obtained, the merit is selected from the available students in other categories.
8. While there is a quota of only 2 students with disabilities, students from two different categories are selected on a merit basis.
6. Priority is determined in the following order if the last two or more students have similar marks.
1. A student whose marks are higher in MAT subject.
2. A student whose marks are higher in SAT Mathematics.
3. A student who has higher marks in science subjects if he has the same marks in 1st and 2nd above.
4. A student who is older if he has the same marks in Mathematics and Science in MAT and SAT.
5. According to the English initials of the last name if the students are the same age. Students without a last name are considered last.
